Crescent City Radio
My pick of the week this week on Generation Tech was a nifty internet radio station called Crescent City Radio. As I said in the podcast, this radio station is pretty near and dear to me because it’s run by Loyola University New Orleans students (my good ole university!). CCR is a great way to discover new music and feel included in the whole radio process. They work hard to make their...

This Morning
This morning I woke up tired again. I wiggled my toes and watched the dark green stripes on my socks move and dance. I’m not sure what I’m doing with my life these days. Unemployment while in college is not fun – especially when you spend most of the hours of the day within the confines of your home.
After letting out a few yawns, I lazily walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth. No sense...

Have You Fawned Over the Shiba Inu Puppies Yet?
I can’t stop myself from constantly watching the Shiba Inu puppy cam on UStream. The puppies are adorable and even when they’re just sleeping, I am completely captivated. Three little boy pups and three little girl pups have stolen my heart.

Oregon Elects Nation's First Transgender Mayor!
In contrast to Prop 8’s passing, this makes me absolutely overjoyed. A town in Oregon has elected our nation’s first openly transgender mayor! It seems the race was strictly about policy and that makes this an even more monumental stride in the right direction. Congratulations, Stu Rasmassen!

You've Failed Me, California
I’ve held off on talking about the results of Prop 8 because I wanted to temper my emotion on the issue. When I read that HALF of California voted to TAKE AWAY the rights of their fellow man, I was furious. I was incensed. I still am, but I think I can better articulate my feelings today than I could two days.
I am very intrigued by the notion that the U.S. has second class citizens. ...

My Boob Song
This is my “Boob Song”. It’s basically me singing (delightfully off key, might I add) a bunch of random sexual stuff. Folks on FriendFeed seem to love it. It was even mentioned in the FFundercats podcast. I’m glad that if anything, THIS is what I’ll be remembered for.

Why Vote No on Prop 8?
If you’re in California, then you’re aware that this election cycle you will have the chance to vote on Proposal 8. This proposal would make gay marriage illegal. Why should you vote no on Prop 8? Why do I even care about this, I’m not from California!
You should vote no on Proposal 8 because it is not the government’s place to legislate your life in any way. A...
